Concluding the series of meetings, Dan gives a word of exhortation as he explores the various promises that are made to “the church which is his body”. Considering these in order, Dan speaks on the promises of the ‘Rapture’, ‘Redemption’, ‘Rewards’, ‘Rejoicing’ and ‘Reigning’. Drawing from a variety of Scriptures, Dan notes how the Church has been “delivered from the wrath to come”, and will be raptured before the seven years of tribulation, and received by Christ himself, and into His Father’s House. He marks how believers will enjoy the fulfilment of the promise of redemption, complete with imperishable, and glorified bodies. Prior to the marriage of the Lamb, Dan notes how all believers will stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ, with a view to reward for ‘life in the body’ (2 Corinthians 5), ‘labour in the building’ (1 Corinthians 3), and ‘love for the brethren’ (Romans 14). He concludes by reading from 1 John 3, noting how there will be a day when we will reign with Christ; “we shall be like him: for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2).
