Paul’s address to the Ephesian elders – Part 2
In the second of a series of studies in Acts 20, Jack Hay (Perth) considers something further of Paul’s reflections on his visit to Ephesus. After examining “when” and “how” Paul preached in the first session, Jack now considers “why” he preached, “where” he preached, “who” he preached to, and “what” he preached.
In the second part of the sermon, Jack then goes on to consider Paul as his attention turns to the future. In the following verses, we see the apostle as a captive “bound in the spirit”, and as a devoted disciple who declares, “neither count I my life dear unto myself”. A challenging sermon that encourages us to reflect on our own devotion and priorities.
