Hebrews 13:5 – ‘I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee’
Bible Text: Hebrews 13:5-6, Genesis 28:12-15, Joshua 1:1-2, 5, 1 Chronciles 28:20 | Speaker: Richard Catchpole | Series: Saturday Bible Teaching 2020 | Taking up the promise of Hebrews 13:5; ‘I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee’, Richard Catchpole (South Norwood) considers three men through the Old Testament, who, like the Hebrew believers; in a critical moment of there experience, received the same promise of the Lord.
Richard considers Jacob; a man who had to leave the land, Joshua; a man who had to enter the land, and Solomon; a man who had a work to do in the land. Applying the scriptures to the audience, the speaker notes how believers are today found in unparalleled times, however, we too can know the promise of the Lord ‘I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee’.
