Bible Text: John 3:3-8, John 1:12-13 | Speaker: Michael Buckeridge | Series: Annual Ministry Conference 2020 | In the second session of the annual ministry conference, Michael Buckeridge (Grantham) takes up the subject of being ‘children of God’. Considering this vital subject, the speaker reflects firstly upon the ‘family change’ that results when a soul places faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. As a result of the ‘family change’, Michael notes secondly that there should also be ‘family characteristics’ seen in the ‘child of God’. He takes up portions from 1 John to show that the believer should be characterised by their attitudes towards Sin, the Word of God, their fellow believers, the world and Christ. Michael closes by reflecting that the ‘child of God’ can have ‘family confidence’ knowing; amongst other things, that ‘greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world’.
