Reflecting upon his own university studies, the speaker uses ‘accounting terminology’ found in the Bible to consider the Gospel. He considers a soul out of balance (Daniel 5:27), something of no profit (Mark 8:36), Christ the compassionate creditor (Luke 7:41-42) and the necessity to be ‘reconciled to God’ (2 Corinthians 5:20).
