Bible Text: Numbers 3:29, 31, Exodus 30:1-9 | Speaker: David Dalton | Series: Morning Meditations | Continuing the study of the Kohathite responsibility in the tabernacle, the speaker meditates upon the final item found within the Holy Place; the Altar of Incense. Amongst other considerations, the speaker meditates upon the Altar’s materials, noting again the pure gold; speaking to us concerning the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the shittim wood; speaking of His humanity. The speaker marks how these truths were vital in His work as our Great High Priest. Whilst seeing the Altar of Incense as a picture of Christ in His High Priestly ministry, the speaker also makes applications for the Believer, noting that the ‘Father seeketh such [worshippers] to worship him’.
