Reflecting upon the world around with its mundane routine, the speaker notes that there is nothing in the world that can satisfy the soul. The speaker marks that the Lord Jesus Christ is the one alone who can give satisfaction noting from the Psalm that He is the one who ‘delivered them out of their distresses’. The speaker therefore implores the listener to ‘cry unto the LORD’ for ‘whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved’.
