Luke 7:42 – Nothing to Pay
Bible Text: Luke 7:36-50 | Speaker: Matthew Dalton | Series: Miscellaneous Gospel Messages | Marking the deadline for Self-Assessment Tax Returns to be submitted in the UK, the speaker reflects upon the phrase ‘nothing to pay’. Reading from Luke 7, the speaker considers the phrase relative to one’s personal position without Christ, showing from Scripture that when it comes to the problem of sin, there is nothing that one can do to save themselves. Secondly, the speaker reflects upon the Grace of God noting how there is now ‘nothing to pay’ because of the perfect provision found in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, the one who paid it all.
